This has been a stelar experience beginning to end. I contacted Mr. Ghofrani for a structural change involving removal of a kitchen wall. First of all, he was very open about the process and the price. He came to our home, took all the measurements, created the documentation and even applied with the city in our behalf. Any questions we had were answered in a timely manner. I could not have envisioned a smoother and more transparent process. We got the application approved immediately. It was a pleasure working with Mohammed and highly recommend GranDesign for any Structral Architectural projects. He was always available and provided assistance with all aspects of the project. He provided drawings for the removal of an interior load bearing wall and City Permit was issued almost immediately. GrandDesign was solicited to design an interior hallway extension to cover the opening above the main entry door. Mohammad’s structural engineering services were reasonably priced and he delivered the permit drawings quickly. As a DIY-er who performed all the work on this project, I relied on his drawing to complete the framing process. The drawings were fairly good but the connections for a diagonal beam were missed and it was not clear how to secure the pieces. Luckily Mohammad kept in touch and provided the missing information. At the end of the framing stage the city required a completion/inspection letter from Mohammad and he again provided all the services needed to finalize this process (at extra cost). I would definitely consider working with Mohammad again for my next project.
